Hagit's clinical work has taken her across remarkably varied settings — from universities and federal justice programs to working with at-risk youth navigating immigration to Israel from Russia and Ethiopia. She has worked with victims of domestic violence, juvenile youth, and individuals from diverse religious and cultural backgrounds including Jewish, Muslim, and Christian communities. That breadth of experience gives her a perspective few therapists can offer.

Her connection to the immigration experience is also deeply personal. With roots in Iran, Hagit understands firsthand what it means to carry the weight of cultural identity, displacement, and the search for belonging. That understanding quietly informs everything she does in the room.

Originally from Venezuela, Susana brings a multicultural and systemic lens to every session. Her background spans education, healthcare, advocacy, and behavioral psychiatric settings — giving her the range to connect meaningfully with people from all walks of life. She also holds a concentration in equine-assisted therapy, a reminder that healing isn't always linear or conventional.

Her personal history with grief, medical trauma, and healing is not incidental to her work — it is central to it. She understands from the inside what it means to sit inside uncertainty, loss, and the slow work of finding solid ground again. That understanding shapes the quality of presence she brings to every client.

As a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern. I am passionate about helping individuals work through anxiety, depression, self esteem issues, life transitions, stress, and sports mental health. I especially believe in the importance of healing the inner child because many of the ways we think, feel, and respond today can stem from experiences we carried for years without realizing it.

I am also passionate about sports and mental health. I believe mental fitness deserves the same attention as physical fitness because taking care of the mind is just as important as taking care of the body. Whether in sports, school, work, or everyday life, mental health plays a major role in confidence, performance, relationships, and overall well-being.

My approach is warm, supportive, and person-centered. I want clients to feel comfortable showing up exactly as they are while we work together toward healing, self-awareness, and personal growth. I understand that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable or even scary at first, but you do not have to go through things alone.

She earned a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and  Supervision from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental  Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. 

Bilingual in Portuguese and English, Dr. Lazarim has lived in the United States for nearly 13  years and brings extensive intercultural-multicultural experience across Latin America,  Europe, and Asia. She has provided counseling services in both Brazil and the United  States, supporting clients facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety and  depression, trauma, substance use, domestic violence, intercultural adjustment, and  career and life transitions. Her counseling approach is collaborative and individualized,  drawing on evidence-based practices such as Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief  Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) within a relational-cultural framework to  meet each client's unique goals and strengths. 

Dr. Lazarim provides counseling services to adults from diverse cultural, racial, ethnic,  linguistic, socioeconomic, spiritual, gender, and sexual identities.
